Prairiewood Senior Men’s League
Senior golfers, ages 60 and above, are welcome to join the Prairiewood Senior Men’s League for a morning of golf and social. This is a great opportunity to meet new players, enjoy the outdoors, get some exercise and engage in some friendly competition. You may even improve your game!
Play begins at 9:00 am on Thursday mornings. No need to register in advance, but please be at the Pro Shop by 8:30 am to pay your green fees and weekly game fee. A $5.00 weekly game fee will be collected from players every Thursday morning. The weekly game fees are used to pay out the winners of the weekly contests in merchandise gift certificates.
The weekly 9 hole league is a 4-person scramble. Teams are chosen randomly by a blind draw and then assigned a hole to begin play. A scramble is a friendly team competition that allows players of all abilities to contribute to the team’s success. Each of the teams’ players hit from the teeing area, then the team members choose the best of the four shots for the next shot. All team members then play the second shot from that location and again choose the best shot. Play continues in this manner until the hole is completed. The team records its score and maintains that format for all 9 holes.
All skill levels of players are welcome and encouraged to join!

PGA Jr League
Rose Creek and Edgewood Golf Courses are currently looking for boys and girls to join their PGA Jr League teams. All youth, regardless of skill level and years of experience, are encouraged to join.
PGA Junior League is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls, 13 and under, to learn and enjoy the game of golf. Like other recreational league sports, participants wear numbered jerseys and play on teams with their friends. Each team is captained by a PGA or LPGA Professional who serves as the coach and is at the forefront of creating a welcoming environment for all to enjoy the game. PGA Junior League utilizes a popular scramble format that creates a nurturing environment for learning and development – both on and off course.
With 42,000 participants in 2017 – and ambassadors including Rory McIlroy, Michelle Wie, Rickie Fowler and Lexi Thompson – PGA Junior League has wide-ranging appeal for both youth and their parents.
For more information or to register a boy or girl, please visit www.pgajrleague.com. Registration will begin February 1st.
